Psychosocial Disability Support Perth
What psychosocial disability support looks like with us
Most support in this space focuses on the task. Turn up, complete the hours, leave. We do it differently. Our approach is psychology-informed, which means our team is trained to understand behaviour, motivation, and emotional wellbeing, and to bring that understanding into every shift. When someone pushes back, shuts down, or has a hard day, we don't see difficulty. We see a person communicating something. We ask why before we react. This is not clinical psychology or therapy. We don't diagnose or provide treatment. What we do is bring a genuinely informed lens to everyday support, and work alongside your psychologist, behaviour support practitioner, or occupational therapist to make sure their strategies are actually implemented in daily life, not just written down and left on a shelf.
Who this support is for
We work with people navigating psychosocial disability who want more independence, more connection, and more consistency than they've had before. People who struggle with routine, for whom mornings feel hard and getting out of the house feels overwhelming. People who have goals but feel like the gap between where they are and where they want to be is wide. Many of the people we support have had at least one provider that didn't work out. They're cautiously hopeful, and watching closely to see if we're different.
What changes
We start slowly. We take the time to understand the person, not just their plan. What makes them feel safe, what overwhelms them, what they actually want their life to look like. We match a consistent worker, one who suits their personality and communication style, and that worker shows up. The same person, the same approach, every time. Trust builds. Routines become manageable. Independence follows. For Sarah, that meant managing her morning routine independently by month three, attending a community activity she'd chosen herself by month six, and her mother finally getting a proper night's sleep by month nine.
