Autism Support Perth
Every autistic person we support communicates differently, processes differently, and finds different things overwhelming or steadying. So the first thing we do is not decide what support should look like. We ask.
We take the time to understand someone's sensory needs, their communication style, and their pace, before we design a single shift. That understanding, along with input from any occupational therapist, speech pathologist, or behaviour support practitioner already in their life, shapes how support is delivered from day one.
What autism support looks like with us
Our approach is psychology informed, which means our team is trained to understand behaviour as communication, not something to correct or manage. When someone shuts down, avoids something, or needs things done a particular way, we treat that as information, not an inconvenience.
This isn't clinical or therapeutic intervention. We don't assess, diagnose, or provide therapy. What we do is implement the strategies your allied health team has already developed, consistently, in daily life, and communicate with that team so progress in one setting actually carries into another.
Who this support is for
We support autistic children, young people, and adults with a wide range of support needs, including those who also live with intellectual disability, sensory disability, or complex support needs. What matters most to us isn't the diagnosis. It's understanding the person in front of us.
Many of the families and participants who come to us have had support that focused on getting through the task list rather than understanding how someone actually experiences their day. We build from the ground up instead: routine, predictability, and a worker who genuinely gets to know them.
What changes
Consistency comes first. The same worker, showing up the same way, every time. For many autistic participants, that predictability is the foundation everything else is built on. Once it's there, daily routines become more manageable, community access starts to feel possible rather than overwhelming, and skills build at a pace that actually fits.
We measure progress by what changes in someone's daily life. Getting dressed with less prompting. Trying a new activity. A parent getting through a morning with less friction than the week before.
